Cathy Hall

Masterplanner
Associated British Ports

Cathy Hall is a chartered town planner by background and is now a member of Associated British Port’s masterplanning function.  Since joining, much of Cathy’s work has focused on ABP’s five South Wales ports, including Newport, Cardiff and Port Talbot.  Much of this work looks at how ABP will continue in its classic port role for the UK’s key industrial sectors, including their supporting their decarbonisation, alongside enabling the growth of a net zero economy where ports will act as hubs for clean growth and energy generation.

Cathy draws on over 15 years’ experience in national property and multidisciplinary engineering consultancies gained prior to joining ABP last year.  Her experience includes strategic planning for growth at a regional and sub-regional scale in locations across the UK, with a particular focus on the role of the step-change infrastructure required to both support growth and bring about the improved market conditions for its delivery.  Her other areas of focus included planning policy evidence base work and policy development on behalf of local planning authorities and central Government, Green Book-compliant business case development to secure funding for infrastructure and other projects, as well as, at the other end of the development process, consenting and development management.
