Sean is the Consenting Manager for Simply Blue Group’s Floating Offshore Wind (FOW) project portfolio in the Celtic Sea. This portfolio includes the up to 100 MW Test and Demonstration scale project, Erebus, which being developed through Blue Gem Wind, a joint venture partnership between SBG and TotalEnergies. Project Erebus secured consent in early 2023.

Sean has a BSc in Marine Biology and over 12 years' experience working in the environmental and consenting sector. Prior to joining SBG, Sean was a Senior Marine Specialist at Natural Resources Wales, one of the key statutory nature conservation and licensing bodies for marine energy infrastructure projects in Wales. Sean also worked in the Senedd Cymru Research Service where he supported Climate Change, Environment and Rural Affairs Committee and wider Senedd business with his applied knowledge of the Welsh, UK and European environmental policy and legislative framework.

Sean has extensive experience in the delivery and management of Environmental Impact Assessments, Habitat Regulations Assessments, Water Framework Directive Assessments and Marine Conservation Zone Assessments which he acquired through a variety of marine ecology, nature conservation and environmental policy focused roles during his early career.
