Educated as a marine biologist, Tim’s been developing renewable energy and enabling infrastructure project projects in Wales for over 15 years. He was the consenting manager for England and Wales’s largest onshore wind farm (Pen y Cymoedd) and also worked on Codling Bank, which at the time was the worlds largest offshore wind farm. Between 2011 and 2021, Tim lead the vision and delivery of the diversification of the Port of Milford Haven’s interests in renewable energy. This has resulted in significant experience in building and utility scale solar PV, smart energy systems, energy markets, policy, the development of hydrogen for use in in heat, power and transport systems and supporting the commercialisation of marine energies and industrial decarbonisation. Tim was also the architect of the Pembroke Dock Marine and the Milford Haven Energy Kingdom projects collaborating externally to bring the expertise in to make the case for both interventions.

Looking forward Tim’s focus is leading the development of the Pembrokeshire Demonstration Zone at CSP but in time will also support CSP in the other key areas to support the delivery of Port Infrastructure, Regional strategy for workforce planning all helping to create a sustainable regional industry capable of really delivering maximum economic benefit from the marine energy sector.
