Steve joined the Port of Milford Haven in 2020 following 28 years in the gas industry. As Director of Regulation and Commercial at Wales & West Utilities, he played a major part in helping the organisation develop its own future energy strategy and become a top performing business. 

Steve is a Fellow and Past President of IGEM and was the Chair of the Energy Networks Association Regulation Group and has strong links with regulators, CBI Wales and Welsh Government. He is on the Executive Council of the UK Parliamentary Group for Energy Studies and a Board Member of Warm Wales.

At the Port, Steve is focused on exploring opportunities for growing the business and working closely with our existing customers and stakeholders. Steve played a leading role in recent and successful Celtic Freeport Bid.  His depth of experience in delivering customer and stakeholder benefits will help ensure developments work within the Group’s core values. Steve also chairs the Haven Energy Cluster, and this cluster recently delivered a long term energy vision and key deliverables out to 2050.

His passion for energy development is a key advantage as the Port move into the delivery phase of Pembroke Dock Marine and explores the potential opportunities it will unlock.
