Ed Sherriff is the Deputy Director of Energy in the Welsh Government. Supporting the Climate Change Ministry, Ed’s role is ensuring Wales effective transitions from an energy system with a high dependency on fossil fuels to a renewable energy system that supports a range of established and emerging technologies. In supporting our net zero commitments, the Welsh Government wants to ensure we have a just transition and one that supports economic prosperity. Ed is supporting work with industry, UK Government and agencies and communities to ensure benefits are retained in Wales from the investment in renewable energy solutions.
